This stunning image showcases the beauty of the boneyard beach at Botany Bay Plantation on Edisto Island, South Carolina. In the center of the picture, a tall, barren oak tree stands solitary; the Atlantic Ocean lapping at its roots. Old stumps line the shore, evidence of the grove that once stood where the ocean now encroaches. Steel blue clouds hang overhead, as the orange light of sunrise peaks through openings in the cloud bank.
