A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.

Since first picking up a camera in 1991, I have been inspired to follow two completely incompatible creative paths. Sports photography got me started. Landscape photography continues to feed my creative side.

In this day and age where open spaces and natural landscapes seem to be disappearing hourly, it is my passion to capture as many of these scenes as possible. However, I see a lot of beauty in the man-made landscape as well, and have begun including cityscapes into my work also.

My medium of choice is digital photography, using Canon equipment. While I do edit the images on the computer, my workflow is the same as any darkroom workflow. Using a RAW file instead of a negative, I only make the same adjustments that could be made in a wet darkroom.

I have been lucky to be able to express myself in this medium, and continue to find new horizons to explore. Hopefully, my work will strike a chord with each viewer.
